5. Starborn Archives: Insectoids and Mantids

A mind unlike ours may see a universe we have yet to recognize.

Insectoids and Mantids enters the Starborn Archives through the towering Mantids and other insect-like races described in encounter lore.

Biology, mental abilities, technologies, societies, and relationships with the Galactic Council reveal possibilities for intelligence far removed from the human form. Their attributed agendas and alliances bring questions of guidance, influence, and contact into focus.

Mark A. Radler explores how these beings are portrayed in humanity’s cosmic narratives and what their stories suggest about awareness itself. Understanding an unfamiliar species begins with recognizing the limits of our own expectations.

Book 5 of the Starborn Archives. For readers of Mantid encounters and unusual alien civilizations.
